Terms and Conditions: York Region Transit Bike Auction

Any and all persons that make a bid and/or purchase on this auction site agrees to be bound by the following terms and conditions.

  1. The sale of the bike(s) on this auction website is authorized under the Regional Municipality of York Transit Lost and Found Policy.

  2. All bike(s) sold on this auction website have come from the York Region Transit lost and found and should be considered “used” unless otherwise noted.

  3. All bike(s) are sold in “as is” condition and the Regional Municipality of York makes no representations or warranties as to the safety, fitness or suitability of the items for any particular purpose.

  4. Payments shall be processed online by credit card. No cash transactions will be accepted.

  5. Bidders represent and warrant that they are 18 years of age.

  6. Bidders represent and warrant that all information provided to the Region during the registration process or any other feature of this auction website shall be true, accurate, current and complete.

  7. Payment for bike(s) must be processed online before pick up.

  8. No returns shall be accepted and no refunds shall be given.

  9. Bidders release the Region, its councilors, directors, employees and agents from any and all losses, expenses, claims, demands and damages whether or not such may be known, resulting from the purchase or use of any item on this auction site. It is the Buyer’s responsibility to have knowledge of, obey or comply with any applicable laws and regulations regarding transportation, handling, storage, possession, use and ownership of the items sold on this website, and to satisfy themselves as to the fitness, safety and suitability of the items.
